You were warned that this would happen: Starting today, and twice a week (though next week has a 2-parter, so it will be three times), I present the episodes of my old podcast that focused on National Novel Writing Month. On Thursday (and, next week, Friday) I will bring you the pre-NaNoWriMo episode, and on Monday comes the wrap-up.
A note on the audio: The site I used to “broadcast” and host this podcast was actually a conference-calling bridge. Back in the 2000s I still had a land-line and knew nothing of podcast production. I would call in using my regular phone, download the call, and edit it. Eventually I found intro/outro/bumper music, and then the magic of “local recording” via a Skype plug-in. (Remember Skype?) But for this episode (and the next), it sounds like a recorded phone call — because that’s exactly what it was.
Also, I seem to keep forgetting that I had a prolonged hiatus, so the podcast technically ran nearly four years — just that it was not being produced for most of one of those years.
Lastly: I was not great at doing the show notes found at flickabrac.blogspot.com — I will link where I can, but I’m fairly certain that most of the later years will not have them.
This link takes you to the show notes for this episode.
