For those who may not have read my post titled Weirdly Specific Spam (and really, why would you?), the TL;DR version is that spambots are funny. And in the age of AI, they are an example that my opposition likes to point to as to why AI is evil. (It’s not; the people using it for this purpose are.)
Anyway, I now have… proof?… that these spambots are truly powered by AI. Apparently they’ve caught on that we’ve caught on, because the latest email I received has the subject line: “Real human here with a quick question.”
And cue more laughter from me.
