In doing these ahead of time, it did not occur to me until scheduling this episode that today is Veteran’s Day, and I failed to mention anything in the episode. This is inexcusable.
In the Donation episode, I mentioned that I live in a country where I am free to have a podcast that touts the virtues of this annual writing event, that I am allowed to speak my mind and state my opinions on any number of topics. It is because of Veterans that I have that freedom.
Today is the day I honor my brother and everyone who has ever put their lives on the line for my right to speak, my right to live my life the way I choose, my right to write. Up north, I hope you have a swell Remembrance Day. To everyone who has served: Thank you very much for everything you have done for us — worldwide.
I said early on that NaNoWriMo is a marathon, but it can be won in sprints. If you haven’t already discovered the magic of word sprints, this episode will enlighten you.
